Major update to AlgoRelay - significantly favors recency over virality - limits 1 author per feed - increases weight of personal interactions - some bug fixes and optimizations Coracle is a little buggy, you might have to refresh a few times before it works (I hear nostr:nprofile1qqsf03c2gsmx5ef4c9zmxvlew04gdh7u94afnknp33qvv3c94kvwxgspz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq35amnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwwajhxar9wfhxyarr9e3k7mgprdmhxue69uhksmmyd33x7epwvdhhyctrd3jjuar0dak8x6lmt90 will fix it tomorrow) Feel free to check it out here https://coracle.social/relays/wss%3A%2F%2Falgo.utxo.one%2F
nm. found it. checking now.
🔥 I'm about brain dead right now but I'll take it for another spin tomorrow
Major difference! There was a lot of content from accts of varying size, follows & not. Very cool. I think the 1 per npub is a really good decision, at least for the short term. More likely to hit a broad array of topics that way. I actually saw some non-bitcoin notes from people I don't follow 😅 Coracle handled it much faster & smoother this time around too. Nice job, guys!
Huge improvement. Is author limit going to be hard coded or moved to env? I think I'd prefer a higher value option but regardless this is a major improvement to the last version I checked.
I have some better ideas to rotate the feed when you refresh it, but it will work better when we have more users
Could you explain for the non dev folk like me... Ja this available on coracle app (is there a coracle app or is it only browser based?) or is this a relay I can connect to from my Amethyst app as well and utilize the algos? Do my questions make sense?
It only works with coracle right now, but you can let nostr:nprofile1qqsyvrp9u6p0mfur9dfdru3d853tx9mdjuhkphxuxgfwmryja7zsvhqppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qythwumn8ghj7anfw3hhytnwdaehgu339e3k7mf0qyghwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnhd9hx2tch2deau know you'd like to use it in amethyst 😉
Vitor is going to to have to make some special relay config category for algo relays, with a little checkbox that turns it on and deactivates all other relays when checked. That way we have an easy way of flipping between the algo relay (and other future algo relays) and our traditional relay set.
It was working for me before but now shows this: https://m.primal.net/Lcmn.jpg
Just refresh a couple of times, it's an Oracle bug
So do we have to add algo.utxo.one to our relay list to be using it, or is it somehow built into Coracle?
