Quick question nostr:nprofile1qqsqfjg4mth7uwp307nng3z2em3ep2pxnljczzezg8j7dhf58ha7ejgpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqguwaehxw309ahx7um5wghx6at5d9h8jampd3kx2apwvdhk6qg5waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t0ke3nsp please, or anyone else who can see this message: I have a mixed bag of kyc and non-kyc coins a bit scattered. I'd like to consolidate them into a single place. Is there an app which can make random schedule, random amounts payments to a wallet? Do you know of any that does this? Does anyone know?
I wouldn't do this unless you have a very good labeling system. Maybe use a BIP85 wallet for one or the other, derived from the 'main' wallet you want to move to, to keep the segregation.
I believe Sparrow wallet (desktop) allows you to view and transfer individual utxo’s. Don’t know of an app that would do what you ask but you could do it yourself. General best practice is to never mix kyc/non kyc coins.
Why not? Why should you never mix them? I thought that if you are paying with a wallet that has a mix of both, they get mixed and sent and the statistical probably says you probably made a genuine payment and the ownership changed hands. That's what I assumed. What's wrong with my thinking?
If you are using a mixer I haven’t gotten to that part in my BTC journey yet…the reason to keep them separate would be because the kyc would know ‘where’ you were sending corn. ‘They’ could assume the non kyc would be payment or other incoming coin. I would keep it separate just keep them from knowing what you control.
JoinMarket + Jam Available in start9, umbrel, raspiblitz, probably others https://jamdocs.org/interface/04-sweep/
How does jam work? I’ve got start9 and seen the download but haven’t tried it yet
Install it and fund it with 1M sats, create a 100K sats fidelity bond, start the yield generator after you edit the fees. Set fee to absolute: 1 sat to be the best neighbor and get the best chance to be selected in mixes. Passively mixes over time. Sweep to empty with anonymity or use Send for less than maximum amounts.
You can use less than 1M but you’ll see more mixes if you have more sats available to mix.
Ok thanks. Will try this. Is this to gain anonymity or yield? I’m more interesting the privacy bit now that coin join is harder
If you want to keep the kyc and non kyc seperate then don't combine them in a single uxto. The seperate uxtos can be in the same wallet in different addresses but label them. Sparrow is fantastic for that. As far as random timing and amounts that won't really obscure a consolidation. Chain analysis will still see the change addresses from partial spends. It will likely end in paying more fees. I don't know of automated hops now that ricochet from Samourai is gone. That really was trying to obscure coin joins from chain analysis going multiple spends back.
YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME! THANK YOU!
Oh and for a couple of you who asked if I was looking to keep kyc and nkyc separate, the answer is no. That is exactly the point of this consolidation. I figured that if you make mixed payments, you pay a ton of fees but statistically each new payment could be a genuine payment? But yeah I didn't think about change... I guess I'm a noob. I'll check those options you guys posted. I'm in the UK. It's all happening here. Who would've thought we would be the first ones to poke the bear?!
THIS APP SHOULD EXIST BUT DOES NOT YET. MUTINY GUYS WERE WORKING ON SOMETHING BEFORE THEY BURNED OUT. WOULD BE A GAME CHANGER.
I'm a coder. If this idea worked, it would take a couple of hours with a python script. But the fact that it doesn't tells me it's not a good one or at least there's a few details I don't know about. I would do it, but I know very little.
Read carefully this great guide by @DarthCoin and play with these solutions until something works for you. Good luck! https://darthcoin.substack.com/p/lightning-cleaning-machine
