 @25a04e72 FYI: the link is not working for me--or rather, it opens to a search box but when I click on 'submit' nothing happens.
 @4b13d910 I just edited and replaced the link. Try it now.
 @25a04e72 not working; it gives me a "false" url and the box keeps whatever name I typed

(and I tried with Nora Roberts, who has hundreds of books stolen)
 @4b13d910 It might be borked under the strain. A lot of people are searching right now. It's not working for me either, and it did half an hour ago.
 @25a04e72 Thank you, that's probably it.

The most enraging part is that there are probably two or three authors who have the money to go after these fuckers the rest of you have little to no recourse.
 @4b13d910 Having been plagiarized before, I've looked into it. To go after someone for copyright infringement means a case in federal court and an estimated $50K in legal fees. At least, that's what we were quoted.
 @25a04e72 Exactly.

I can see Nora Roberts and Stephen King taking notice and going, but for people who make that much on a very good year, they have to really think what they may get back--and people who get half or less, well.
 @4b13d910 As Kameron Hurley said on bluesky: "A tech startup worth millions remixing and monetizing my work without permission or compensation while I, the author, have to work two jobs to afford health insurance and pay off my medical debt is peak capitalism."
