Apparently they're not very tasty as a fruit but have amazing essential oils. They're used as a spiritual offering in SE Asia They also look good for flavouring alcohol & as an air freshener. Such a cool fruit.
I am thinking candied buddha hand bc I love sour candy (i think it must stimulate my vagus nerve or some good neuro chemicals lol). I looked at diy steam distillation for essential oil, which is doable but seems tedious. Or letting it sit in high proof alcohol and using in cooking in the future.
