@Electric Pants :prince_dance: looks like plex is about to ban a bunch of people renting storage boxes from hetzner for 100-200$/mo and reselling the access to people for 10-20$/mo x 1000

@anime graf mays 🛰️🪐 lmao they're literally me
People are no longer putting up with Hetzner's bullshit. It's good to see the wokies fall.
some sources (Sorry for being reddit):

speculation: i can tell you exactly who these people are because they support some major IPTV providers "always available PVR" and it's been going on for probably 4-5 years. people pay for hetzner storage boxes because in terms of raw storage you cant beat the price

genuinely surprised this hasnt happened sooner. it's funny because hetzner is staunch anti piracy and will cancel you at even a wiff of a DMCA in the wind

wondering when ISPs will do the same for hetzners disregard for abuse emails about botnets that have existed on the network for over 5 years or if they are subsidized by hetzner to give trannies somewhere to reload
@anime graf mays 🛰️🪐 @Electric Pants :prince_dance: well, time to up the priority of switching to jellyfin

> self host with Plex!
> your Plex Media Server is being terminated because we don't like what you are doing

I saw such coming when they required an internet account to run a server on your own network and jumped ship to Jellyfin.
