They have a right to challenge anything they want to.

The REAL CRIMINALS are those who Actually ban the books. Plenty of people challenge books in My neighborhood, but they NEVER get banned.

The board in her district, Spotsylvania County Public Schools, has voted to make it easier to remove books, and its superintendent pulled 14 books this spring for “sexually explicit material” — including Toni Morrison’s “Beloved.” Two members of the board also suggested burning books and there has been a proposal to close all school libraries.
