I do own #bitcoin in self custody, but the majority of my net worth is tied on my 401k and can only invest in FBTC, will I get this slap too?
Everyone should HODL bitcoin, in cold storage……..but those of us who also have money in 401k & IRAs (especially Roth versions of both!) would be fools not to use some (damn near all?) of that money to buy the ETFs.

My cold storage sats are for my next 6 generations of descendants.

My Roth ETF sats are for my (tax-free) retirement.

My brokerage account ETF sats are for my fiat needs in the current halvening cycle.

Those 3 are listed in descending order of importance.
 STAY HUMBLE AND STACK ZAPS
No one owns any bitcoin, they only have access to control of it.
If you lock something in a safe and you own the key (so only you can move it) do you now only own the key or also the item's movements?

I understand your point from a ledger point of view, bitcoin never leaves the ledger, but "owning" something digital bitcoin comes very close to that once you "own" (are in posession of) the key.

If you know the secret key, do you "own" the key?

If you hold a bar of gold, don't you "own" it solely by the ability to control its whereabouts?

I said what I said, NO ONE OWNS ANY BITCOIN, you only CONTROL IT. Until you understand, you also do not understand wealth. And clearly you do not yet understand my point.
This is just semantics. You could make that argument about anything depending on your definition of "ownership."

According to Merriam-Webster...

"Own"
- To have or hold as property.
- To have power or mastery over.

How do you reconcile Bitcoin's solution for property rights and self-sovereignty when you apparently can't own the property?

 Exactly. Well explained.
I came from a Murray Rothbard point of view myself to ask some (I hoped) challenging questions, but clearly I missed what I aimed for
😂👊
"You could make that argument about anything"

Yes! And only when you understand why that argument is correct will you understand wealth in reality.

The closer you get to owning a thing the more a target the thing becomes. The more a target you become.

Read Trump's Asset Protection 101 to BEGIN to understand. Again just to begin. FWIW Trump didn't write it, it was ghost written. I'd tell you more but I don't think it would matter.

FWIW it is GOOD that you can never "own" Bitcoin, it is in fact why it is so secure.
It's rather: you own the keys to move bitcoin (the number on the ledger) on Bitcoin (the network&protocol).

The keys are the target. And the keys are derived from the seedphrase.

If you don't own (and keep secure) the seedphrase, you don't have the keys to move bitcoin on the ledger. Hence: "not your keys, not your coins" ( - Andereas Antonopoulos?)

So SAYING you don't OWN bitcoin because of whatever Trump wordsalad, is CLAIMING to have something which is in essense untouchable and therefor secure, but when someone else has your keys it can be TAKEN from you and you LOST all ownership allowing you to control absolutely nada 👌and can spend nothing...

It just logically makes no sense, but fine with me if you want to BELIEVE the case you made. Good luck. No reason to get all angry. Just keep your keys and seedphrase safe.

Love the show. 😘

Well I said BEGIN to understand and you clearly have not yet begun. Prefer what you want, hate the orangeman enough to ignore reality, neither will change what actually is.

"Blinded by hate you are, controlled by beliefs, life hard for you shall be, true wealth elusive, mmmmm."

~Yoda - Probably
Semantics aside, all I know is that if I die with MY seed phrase, MY coins go with me.

You could say you OWN YOUR bitcoin 😉😂👊
Trump has some good views and I have a couple of books from him and about him and his methods. Some things can be learned from his approaches. It does not mean all he says is true, good or usefull.
Thank you for your opinion and advise and I will take from it what I can use.

"Own Gold, Silver, #bitcoin " - Robert Kyosaki
Can I ask WHY you would motivate (or push) others to try and redefine 'OWNING' (bitcoin) ?

Will it be better for you in your own US state to be able to legally say to the IRS that you don't OWN any money or assets or at least fewer than the IRS may claim you have?
And will it help to say "I don't OWN it, I just am the only one that CONTROLS the thing with which I can do masssive purchases in the future"?
Will people outside the US be better off redefining 'owning' (property rights) and ignore Rothbard's or even Ayn Rand's definition of it?

I myself am (and probably people with me are) getting very tired of liberals trying to redefine speech nowadays, so all real words with real meaning start to lose their impact and definition.
Redefining the meaning of words is trying to take away speech so all will be unclear in the future. This is why all is "rasist" and "right-wing" and blablabla-"denier" today expressed by people who feel the need to control the other person, but cannot properly express themselves..

BUT, if redefining the word OWN to CONTROL helps YOU in any way in YOUR specific case to help protect YOUR assets... You found a way to help yourself and would feel the need advise this trick to others...

Maybe you get my point this time and I hope it did not make you angry, nothing gets solved that way.

Have a great day and thanks in advance for your reply 👊
Mental gymnastics is not a fun sport to watch I am bored now. 😂
It wasn't very important. You could have had a solid short explanation, but no...
"Poor people own things, wealthy people control things"
So if someone asks "do you have any bitcoin" the answer is always no.
This meme needs a double slap version for some messages
 so hard to understand
