You can do it! I quit cold turkey after I called my mother one day to ask her what she wanted for X-mas & without missing a beat she said, “For you to quit smoking.”
After that I didn’t have a choice!
I will say the first day was the LONGEST day of my life—little by little it got better. Tag me if you want some encouragement. 

 @8144cfd5 My dad said it was the only thing he wanted for his 75th birthday, so I did it cold turkey too. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. I miss it, but am so happy I'm done with it. Don't let people profit from killing you. Makes me mad just to think about those assholes. @0b29c469

Wow, that’s quite a story & interesting that each of us had our parents ask us to quit—wonder if it’s in the parents handbook or what.
Congratulations to you on getting it done—it WAS really hard, but we’re so much better off for it!
