While I wouldn't want to deny anyone their due representation, I have to agree. Broadly. It's not an ageism thing, either. I'm staring down 40 (a death warrant for a single gay man) but I don't vote for my interests. I vote in the interest of my neighbor's ten-year-old kid. She's the one who inherits this shitheap. I think we have a moral responsibility, especially if we're in a position of power, to say "I've got no skin in this game anymore."
