I used to shoot squirrels with a 20 gauge. Just saying.
But they weren’t tamed pets.
Oh 😂 I honestly don't know why people are talking about killing squirrels. I've been gone and off of the Internet most weekend per usual.
Mourning the State’s execution of P’ it the rescue squirrel from upstate New York
I see that. I'm reading this now. I don't use anything but Nostr so I am not aware of random people's pets having Instagram or TikTok accounts. That's very sad a pet was killed though. IMO, this is why you don't advertise having wild animals as pets though. Keep to yourself.
Careful, this could get you cancelled right now.
It's okay. I cancelled small game hunting myself. I haven't gone in 30 years.
The closest I get to hunting is owning a cat that I let roam the woods in my back yard.
I've had cats catch all sorts of small birds and other critters 😜
Y tho?
Small game season.
Squirrel meat is delicious I’m not joking
I have a friend that set up a trap, and caught squirrels daily. He got a bit sick of squirrel meat after a while, but it started well.
My family used to eat squirrel a few times a month growing up. Always fried
I would probably put it on the barbecue. I'll eat almost anything cooked over charcoal. 🍖😋 🔥
Yeah it would probably be good smoked too
Agree. I think. I don't really remember it. It's been 30 years since I had it.
Try dog meat. It is said that it is delicious too.
Can’t, I love dogs too much
Food
turn this into a meme it’s gonna do numbers 💀
I've shot far more deer though.

Squirrels are awesome. All animals are 🥹
Our neighbor relocated about 40 squirrels. She maintained a neighborhood leaderboard of red, black, grey and brown squirrels. Once the city found out, they threatened to fine her big time.
Damn. That's a lot of squirrels.
Yeah, we had an infestation. It was really bad.
My grandfather used to shoot them with a .22 after a squirrel broke into his house, are peanuts that were in the counter, a shit all over their living room.
I did that once when I was 12, at point-blank range, while bird hunting, and have never shot a living thing, save for a mercy killing, since. I had other means of food at the time. In a survival situation, things could be different, but I didn't have to do that, and I still regret it.
At point blank range I'm sure there was nothing left of that poor squirrel.
But you didn’t kidnap them first did you?
No.
Once upon a time I came home from elementary to my great grandmother (born during the Great depression), I smelled something delicious, I put my bagged down and quickly rushed to the kitchen like the little fat ass I was just to look in the oven to see- A squirrel. A full fat roasted squirrel in the oven. "They're eating the cats they're eating the dogs" and yes, the squirrels are getting eaten too. #BlessAmerica nostr:nevent1qqsz632665gql6unp6dgle0fyncpzytqzsv0539xcuzfkem7f90tp4spz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsygplwuxkt5a8vj5utj6s8tsj8e3wcavc45p4mqmw92qs7wrh5azmyspsgqqqqqqs7ea92d

They are cute little guys. For sure. People also eat them too. Every animal that I've shot, I've ate.
And just like that, the right wing turns in pet lovers. https://image.nostr.build/5e87419270af16a217fcc53adffa6bb406e24c7761af4f2444d94f69c9e5eb3a.jpg
one of the best threads on Nostr currently. a lot of experience with our place in the Universe. not very political. nostr:note194z444gspl4exr563lj7jf8szygkq9qclfz2d3cyndnhuj27krtqpnyw4z
