It's all about location, location, location.

I'd definitely argue that someone with any kind of home in a safe spot, free from the worst that climate change offers has a slight advantage.

Problem is, where is that location?

But yea, I would not want to live in Florida, Louisiana, or NYC no matter the house.
 @9a8898e8 Yeah, safe spaces are hard to predict. Anything can happen anywhere. Hence, I'm not sure if ownership is a great thing anymore.

It is high time that we learn how to use natural materials around us to make homes - especially of the sort that is indistinguishable from the surrounding landscape.
 @34e2cb20 I agree with you.

If one thinks about it, it is obvious what is coming.
 @34e2cb20 @3967703f Yes. But only some of us have thought about it.

Ownership of a house in the right spot is only slightly better than being a vagabond at the whim of landlords, rent spikes, and politics during the ordeal climate change will put us through.

But yes. Home ownership is playing Russian roulette. A change in the wind, the sea levels, drought issues, water scarcity, etc. can make your house your biggest downfall.
