I (and I think most Europeans do the same) have always looked down on Americans, especially regarding their politics and knowledge about the rest of the world.

However, for the last couple of years I have gone deeper in my knowledge about the American revolution, American politics, their obsession with freedom and the Constitution (at least the ones not voting for Kamala), their knowledge about economics, entrepreneurship, #Bitcoin,

AND I came to realise that Americans should look down on us Europeans. We accept any form of government and freedom is not AT ALL a priority for 95% of Europeans.

I remember being in my twenties and visiting Ireland. Politics came up and we were discussing the troubles. Someone made a comment about the church doing something and I mentioned separation of church and state. They all laughed and asked, how could they be separated? You are correct that the average American is totally disconnected from other forms of government.
 The average European, you mean?
 Both I suppose.
