@cbf0362a cloud is terrible, yes even in 2023 :)
Plus if I can't fully replicate a cloud instance of whatever (including CI) bare metal it is not very open and robust/deployable, so I shy away.
@3ddab33a do you consider Proxmox “a cloud”? Because that’s what I meant here. I rarely do any heavy lifting on the arm stuff with virtualization because the tooling doesn’t really do the job well enough.

And I use VMs for CI/testing, often on the road. So when I want to build and test stuff that will run on my clusters, I want to do it local.
