Oddbean new post about login | logout @be7434a2 Will we see a time when the character limit to our posts is increased beyond 500 on the Mastodon.world servers? I don't intend on writing tomes but it would be nice to have a bit more space. BTW... thanks for all the great work you and the other admins are doing here.
@69e241db Not unless it will be a configurable option, that’s up to the Mastodon devs and I don’t think it’s on their roadmap. One could consider creating an account on https://calckey.world or other Firefish/Akkoma/Pleroma (etc) instances. They support higher character limits. You could use that for your longer posts.
