Thanksgiving in the good 'ol USA πΊπΈ this year. Going to show some Americans how we give thanks for having us over. I want to try something ridiculous like.. a turducken. Deep fried in all its glory. π
Google search deployed....... Always learning π¦ π¦
Also has π π It's ridiculous and I am very excited to sample it.
Looking forward to the pictures π₯
I hope I get to try it. I hear it's not the easiest to make. π
I had to Google what this was.... A video of the process would be entertaining π
I'll do my best. π
Until I googled it I 100% thought you where making that dish up. π For those curious: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turducken
Same. When I first heard it I was a skeptic. π
I want to deep fry a chicken in Tallow.
Do it! Then tell me how it tastes. Tallow is kind of tasteless but better than the alternatives
The Goal is to get that shit crispy all over. One of the reasons I like frying with tallow is the subtlety of the taste. Once you make French fries in tallow you never go back. Salt, garlic powder, perfection.
I usually use duck fat for fries. Also great. Iβve never cooked with tallow before. Iβd like to try it one day.
I bought a jar of duck fat, how long does that keep? Tallow is basically immortal. I should try to do some potatoes in duck fat tonight.
They last quite a while. I've kept duck fat in an airtight container and it lasted for several months. It's generally cool where I live so they last a bit longer. I think they'll keep for a long long while when refrigerated or frozen.
I can think of few things more 'MURICA than stuffing three birds inside each other and frying the whole thing. π¦ πΊπΈ
