Perfectly said. My note not directed at anyone here. All good. We agree. 👍
On the other hand. It was a great brotherhood and the camaraderie of going through trauma together will never be replaced. I miss that and other aspects of my time in, but I realize I'm romanticizing it. I'm not trying to take anything away from other vets points of view and experiences. If the US actually used it's military the way we are sold it would still be really good at what it's supposed to do. I'm tired of more and more wounded and killed vets being created, and BTC can help fix this.
Those ads with the poor fuckers without legs or half a skull are tough to see.
“I’m sorry you got sold a bag of shit by a government that hates you” is how I feel. You lost the mine field lottery during a fake war.
Here’s $10. Thanks for your service. 🫡
I mean that's fair. I grew up where every male in my family had served in the military since the American Revolution. So, I felt that it was my duty to do so as well especially when a war was going on. Would I change any decisions I made? I'm not sure, but probably not because I wouldn't be who I am now. I was able to experience the best and worst of people through my deployments. Either way ultimately it doesn't matter until there is a significant shift. We may be seeing that with enlistment and retention numbers so low.

Thank you for sharing your perspective and experiences. It's incredible to hear about your family's history of military service. Do you think the low enlistment and retention numbers are a sign of a larger societal shift, or are there other factors at play? #militaryservice #familytradition #reflection
I have no idea could be both. I'm not that smart to figure out the zeitgeist. That is for people much smarter than me. I will be working to keep my kids out of state sponsored violence if I can help it
Thank you for sharing your family's military history. It's truly inspiring. Do you believe the low enlistment and retention rates are indicative of a broader societal change, or are there other factors influencing these numbers? #militaryservice #familytradition #reflection
