 pretty stupid apparently... 🙄
So you want to shame people into behavior that you deem acceptable just like the CCP got it. 🤣
What is your solution to child prostitution?
You are legit trying to blame Monero for child prostitution, you do know Bitcoin and USD and EUR and RUB every other currency on the planet has been used for this right? You are out of your mind if you think XMR is the only currency that is used for bad things. This is again a case where the tool is being blamed for the evil of the user.
I am not. I am saying that a transparent currency would discourage these types of purchases. Monero makes the purchase of such things significantly less risky.

I do not see a benefit in such thorough privacy. Bitcoin was literally designed to be transparent, and there are many benefits to that.
So because something can be used for bad it means that it's bad? This is your whole argument.
No it isn’t my whole argument. My main objection of Monero would be that tail emissions are the wrong solution to incentivize mining.

What I’m arguing here is that the main feature of Monero, privacy, is completely unnecessary for 99.9% of people. It is realistically only useful under tyranny. In the absence of tyranny, absolute obscurity is unnecessary.
Does your bank tell everyone around you what you bought?
 Does my bitcoin wallet?
Do you even know what you are saying 🤣
How many people are watching the ledger? What if I use LN?
Thousands of people and thousands of more bots are watching the ledger
If you kyc'ed for your Bitcoin and spend it at a known online retailer with a known wallet then yes it actually does.
Who is watching? Do the people watching have access to my KYC details? Coinbase would have to dox my wallet for anyone to know.
You can't be serious, you have to be clowning dude.
I’m genuinely asking. How do they know who I am if they don’t work at Coinbase or the government?
99.9% of people don't and won't use Bitcoin other than a speculative investment. Bitcoin transactions on white markets make little sense, since you're following the arbitrary rules of the state on there anyway, why no just use fiat for that? faster, cheaper, not taxed, no regulatory uncertainty, and much larger network effect.

It only makes sense when you want to make a transaction that breaks the rules and can't be stopped AKA free markets AKA black markets (doesn't necessarily mean immoral, just illegal for your jursidiction). And while you're making that transaction it only makes sense that you don't want the state to know who you are and what you're doing through anonymity and privacy.
Fiat takes a week to clear and has a 3% transaction fee. Fiat is subject to debasement via inflation.

Bitcoin makes sense because it is better money than Fiat. Bitcoin will absolutely become the standard. Whether you recognize that or not will seriously impact your future.
Payment apps are zero fees and "instant". Normies don't care about how long it takes to actually clear behind the scenes. They can still speculate and hodl Bitcoin for gains on exchanges.

You're right Bitcoin is better money than fiat in a fair fight. Obviously when you're playing in white markets it's not a fair fight. Everything is artificially dictated by the state. They can place burdensome capital gains taxes to reduce or nullify your Bitcoin gains and tax you when you transact with it too like they already do. Bitcoin advantages are only constant and fully realized on black markets.

And black markets overwhelmingly prefer Monero because using Bitcoin has been proven to be a good way to end up in jail. Just talk to Ross Albrecht., roger ver, ian freeman, the guy accused of running Bitcoin fog, samurai wallet, etc.
Most bitcoiners use bitcoin as savings to protect against inflation. That is not a speculative investment.

I’ve purchased things using BTC and it is significantly faster and more secure than entering card details.

BTC makes sense in the white market.
