You know something funny? Remember all the controversy about the US Treasury minting a $1 Trillion coin? Well now the situation is so bad, that if they did that, it would have virtually no effect 🤣. It would “fund” the deficit for like 3 months and then they’d have to do it again. The people who think the govt is the solution to anything baffle me.

I find most fascinating the fact that tho we were all born as frogs into the slowly boiling fiat pot, some were of us have been blessed to gtfo while so many are, so far, absolutely unable to see the problem. What is that spark that some of us get to understand both the problem and the solution, while others appear unable to grasp either the problem and/or the solution?

stubborn refusal to accept bullshit. better to be right and alone than know it's wrong and get punished with them for lack of courage. the hard part is that being alone is often very taxing economically.

What's interesting to me is how far out of known shores we are. In metaphorical terms we have not just lost sight of land, historical reference, we have entered a wormhole and landed in an ocean on an alien world. No other civilization on record, has created this much debt, for this many people, this wide accross the planet. Add technology, digital, bitcoin, communications, ai. Add shifting political lines and powers. Add entrenched legacy systems, laws and justifications for things like borders, race, language, that seem anachonistic in comparison to the connections and distributions available. An example: Several people have suggested that power is shifting to the east. Russia/China/India will be the new Canada/U.s/Mexico of the east. But what language will these new powers have to do all this in ? The suggestion of anything but English would start a fight. When the Romans took over Greek power, Latin became dominant throughtout. Not Greek. A.i Translation means , there will likely not be a new dominant language. Everyone can conduct business in their own language, or refer to English. Even in a shared power structure with the east. A new language may emerge FROM that state of affairs, but the difference is in organic emergence versus forced adoption/assimilation. To say uncharted is an understatement.
