Nobody had a bigger incentive to create #Bitcoin than the US government. But #Nostr is not ready for that.
Confused 🤔 Explain more.
The US has the most to lose from losing currency printing privileges. Instead of losing it you create a "neutral" alternative.
That's yet another reason why they wouldn't. Even Russia and China have too much to lose. Even Iran's government would be looking at a net loss of power. The DPRK is about the only state actor with means, motive and opportunity.
The US has the largest motive. They do not want to lose reserve currency privilege. Either way if satoshi was an independent actor or a US govt individual (not the Fed; very important distinction) the US has the most to lose. How do you create a bid for your paper bonds? Re capitalize the system with something of value.
Will Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un liberate Asia from jewry throgh bitcoin???
I'm sure he would find it both hilarious and profitable. But I doubt he was Satoshi, or knows who Satoshi is. Was quick to take advantage of the protocol, though.
I know who Satoshi is. The creator of Pokémon!
Create a rival to the petrodollar that WILL destroy their seignorage income? And neuter Treasury's ability to rob stagecoaches - I mean sanction funds? Seems unlikely, even for the most idealistic and public-spirited official
If you're going to lose the reserve status to China (which we are) it's better that no one has it right? If you're going to lose better off flipping over the table.
You sound like an intelligent, objective and well-informed person. US government officials can't admit Biden has dementia, or that invading all over the Middle East was criminal and a failure. You are not the same.
They aren’t …
Yea I’m ready, convince me
