 @0f342e77 @2fd63806 be careful what you wish for. No matter how much we hate what the Tories have done, is there really a political party out there with enough strength to run the country any better?  The really disappointing thing for me, is the lack of a viable opposition. Devil and deep blue sea.

Yes. Sir Keir #Starmer & his #Labour party. 

The 19% average poll lead over the last 12 months illustrates the majority of the #UK believe this to be the case too. 🤷🏾‍♂️

The deep tensions are overstated. Some form of tensions exist in ALL political parties.

The far left are so splintered, they can't form one coherent party, hence the NIP.

There remains a tiny contingent of #FarLeft #Corbynistas in #Labour who don't have the courage of their convictions to move on.

BUT, they're so insignificant, they're mostly ignored on the very rare ocassions they do pipe up.

They're not a major issue. It's those who've left making the most noise. 🤷🏾‍♂️

 @2e42eda5 @0f342e77 The Labour party despite its frailties is our only hope. In its current guise it is broadly humane, rational and well intentioned. Wisdom is a scarce resource all round.

Of this we can both agree. There is no perfect party, but for me #Starmer & #Labour come closest to my political ideals.
