If an edit happens on Amethyst, and nobody else sees it, does it result in a merge? 

 it’s little things like that, that amethyst does that fuck up interoperability lol

 There is no merge operation defined in the edit spec 

 But it's what you effectively do, right? You fork their note to a new branch, edit the content, send a pull request, and they can choose to merge the branches or not.

Or whatever. I don't know the details. 

 Well yes, if we're going to think of it in those terms, then no merge would happen 

 We need it too in an effort to combat informations of all kinds 

When one cannot change the code, then it will show the truth eventually
