I don't think it's just an English problem. 

I do think it's interesting that language had gotten more complex & conceptual over time. 

I think it characterises a shift towards the mind & away from the heart. 

It feels like the more words that we use, the further from the Truth we get. Memes are like an antidote to this trend.
