it's not about them malding about how their shit is being used. because plex is paid-for software, and people are using hetzner paid-for storage servers to run massive piracy groups where people pay for access it becomes an issue for them because DMCA
So Plex is liable for the content others serve using their service?
plex will have to go to court to prove they aren't hosting it to layman. do you want to be a small company paying for lawyers to go and fight that?

I paid for a lifetime sub for myself and gf. all my shit is stored locally, i rely on nothing and can null plex calling home in the event it gets bad. jellyfin is good for small libraries but when you are talking >20TB or larger it just chokes even on 96 thread servers with NVMe caching
