The QE Carriers have to refuel every 3 days while in-transit... meaning huge vulnerability and tempting target fast oilers to hang out near the Strike Group. ...oh, and low speeds while refueling... making it take much longer to traverse the world's oceans.
Okay, and what exactly is the hurry? Who exactly is going to be fucking with a NATO carrier group? With nuclear you'd need another entire carrier, they need a lot of down time.

They don't need refuelling. They need a LOT of downtime.
