Not saying most of it is laziness, but most of it is laziness. Most people can't be arsed to enquire about it, do a little search or something.
There was a referendum recently in Ireland, and there were a lot of young people on television saying they didn't vote because the 'government didn't provide any information' to them. 
That is kind of what you are dealing with, people that are so spoonfed that they can't put a foot forward because nobody told them which foot goes first.
