I'm going to forward this to the creators over at YouTube. Seems relevant all around.

I feel like there's a difference on YouTube and Tiktok because in those cases it isn't Users filtering, but the platform. I can go to a creator for the news and they have to use those tricks to say the news because we're not supposed to talk about bad things online, and so much of the news isn't sunshine and rainbows these days. Doing it to get around PLATFORM censorship is another issue entirely, imho.

I agree with that but it's about money to a certain extent. The same creators make podcasts saying whatever they want.

Not necessarily. Videos can be taken down or suppressed from showing up in user feeds, not just demonetized, for the most ridiculous things. It might even get worse in the next year or two - part of project 2025 would mean categorizing all lgbtq content, even just like, a life vlog of two married lesbians with no sexual content, as "pornographic." Just because they're lesbians. 🤦‍♀️ Even as it stands now, though, people have to get creative to even be able to talk about important stuff that affects people's day to day lives. The mental gymnastics just to have a conversation are unreal.

I guess I can only base it off of my own experience. Several YouTubers I listen to do the round about speak on YT then say anything and everything on their podcast. So I've started just listening to the podcast.

Unless people are removing clothes or performing lewd acts I don't see how vlogging about your life can be pornographic. Maybe people should change platforms. YouTube makes money off them too.
