I can't praise raw milk highly enough. #foodstr
Been making ice cream with raw milk, cream and honey recently. Can’t believe how easy it is. This is what they took from us lol
I was thinking about doing this, actually. Do you have a good recipe for it?
Recipe for raw ice cream: THE BASE 1 Cup of raw milk 1 Cup of raw cream 4 egg yolks 6 Tablespoons raw honey FLAVORS chocolate - 4 tablespoons of raw cacao vanilla - 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract DIRECTIONS Blend all base ingredients and your choice of flavor for about a minute or two. Just make sure honey isn't laying at bottom of your mix. Then toss it all into the ice cream maker. Its usually done in around 10 minutes. When it has a texture like soft-serve, move it to the freezer.
Thanks 😃
Thanks! Forwarded this to my wife.
Bonus points if you can find local raw honey- does wonders for the allergies apparently
Corollary: I cannot denounce pasteurized homogenized milk enough. nostr:nevent1qqsdt74zynlcusfugnughapeacdj5de80cpy2u8qqw48w9nm2nrt5cqpr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmqzyrtkqaryyfwg4dssm2v5jk78pj9r53dq879z922lqm7tt0zzretn5qcyqqqqqqg9rgpxq
My wife is ‘scared’ of it. Says there’s too much of a chance of a bacteria contamination. Can you please educate me so I can educate her on this? (I’m not at all worried to consume it, but we all have to educate our loved ones from time to time.)
For all of human history until the last 100 years, people drank milk directly from cows' udders. Who are you going to trust? 10,000 years of human history of 100 years of pasteurized milk? Who got us to this point in history? Your ancestors or a generation of people refusing to have kids? Traditions survive because the people who follow them survive. Drink raw milk and foster another 10,000 years of human flourishing.
