 I hope we learn from other PTSDs in the history, and front-run its societal tax by discussing it out across the bubbles, instead of everyone harborong their own sets of injustices and guilts for generations.

For sure, the way to lead is to humbly admit the mistakes. 
 Well. We have a chance now with internet and independent infrastructure like Nostr. 
But I posted recently interesting article where guy (among other things) saying that for example vaccines efficiency was regularly discussed in history, but state propaganda had  always "overwritten" the result of that discussion.  
 Paradoxically, with the current tech, it's been seemingly easier to isolate people (and their thoughts) than in the previous decades.

But I'm pretty confident that's just transitory. The feedback loupes are shortening and you can't shield yourself from them. 
 The government made no mistakes, it was by design.  It's the people who listened who made the mistakes.
