No, I don't think so. Even if you self host, they can still seize your servers easily. Not to mention all your sent emails will be flagged as spam since you are not a major email provider. It's hopeless, there's only lesser evils. Use SimpleX or Signal/Molly for secure sensitive communication.
I agree. i worry that bitcoin as a protocol could suffer the same fate. That even if you want to act privately - you have to interact with people that don’t - so it’s all for nothing.
