But I would still really like to have a way to share PDFs. I miss the promotion of books, articles and more in-depth textual productions, even in the sense of authorial productions.

I recently wanted to share articles about the reason for the epidemic of vision problems in the world, an article by Walter Block and a book by Mário Ferreira dos Santos, but it's not the same thing just linking to websites, and it's not always possible...

 I believe it's possible sharing pdfs from next cloud over an onion address, amesthyst can show a file from an onion address? If yes, this is already available

 Hello. What about add a little label in a  followed user showing if he/she follow the user accessing his/her profile?  

 If they are following you, the Follow button turns into Follow Back :)
