awesome life experience! best way to learn
Great but buy btc
Doesn't work with KYC hoops to jump through.
Exactly
Sorry if I came on strong, I'm just not sure how buying BTC in its current state with KYC/AML regulations solves this kid's problem, especially since buying KYCed Bitcoin is literally giving the IRS direct access to knowledge on what you hold and how you spend it 😆
I've just understood what ti is saying but I've skipped over the p2p purchase. He doesn't need to buy it on the market directly with a KYC check like that, he'll be protected.
KYC is not necessary but avoiding it is "advanced"
Exactly, I've looked into all sorts of ways to avoid it, but it's not practical for me and I'm a tech geek with all sorts of stubbornness. Anyone else who isn't like that isn't going to even give it the time of day, especially since I'm on the cusp of giving up trying myself.
Never give up if you haven't found what you're looking for. A gentleman gave me this advice. Obviously, avoiding KYC is very difficult right now.
I mean, I definitely don't want to give up on it, but it's taking up time and frustrating me in ways that I can't get around, which I definitely don't need in my life right now haha. Hopefully I'll figure something out but right now, it's looking like there aren't going to be any ways for me to buy it without KYC and the other non-KYC methods don't seem to work for me. I do plan to give Bisq another try someday but if it doesn't work, I'm basically out of options until something new comes up.
You're right, and I'm already cheering you on for the effort you've made.

I've tried so many of these sorts of DEXes but they always have at least one flaw that makes it unviable for me: - Payment methods too risky or won't work for me - All offers expect hefty lump sum, making it hard for people who can't afford a large risk - Any offers that *would* work seem to run KYC themselves - The DEX requires a small down payment of BTC/XMR, which I can't get unless I get it KYC-free That's the reason I'm on the verge of giving up. Gets pretty old when you try and try again, only to constantly run into the same or similar issues everywhere.
No better way to learn to hate the state, radicalise them early
😂😂😂😂
New Bitcoiner soon? nostr:nevent1qqs2gzkry6f0c4fd6xzaq9krkx07acgevgy6jh0qkgk4ljy4y9jm2gspz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7q3qsq8qlc7cvwxw8a662mkcvh0em9hunkwd9a642r0s6l6urkzx3v9sxpqqqqqqzkqwacf
A radical is being minted before our very eyes
This is funny, but also somewhat infuriating for me. His dad and everyone else referring to taxes as the "real world" is just adding to the psyop that allows this rampant theft to continue. It's what's keeping the populace compliant when the government increases taxes by 10%-20%, rather than going full tar-and-feather, like they did in the 1700's over 0.5% increase. Medicare? Why is he being forced to pay for that scam? Is he using it? Is he planning to use it? What in the socialist hell even is that? Social security? His first question shouldn't have been about his social security *number,* but about why he's paying into a Ponzi scheme against his will. State and federal taxes? Why do they need to tax at all when they can just print it? What's really making me angry is everyone else in the vehicle pushing these lies. This is why the world keeps getting worse. I hope that young man doesn't listen to his dad or anyone else there with him, but he probably did, and probably will continue to do so. This is why we still have such a long and difficult uphill battle before us. 😞
Yeah, his dad, friends, brothers should definitely ditch the psyop language of "real world" or "paying your fair share" or "building society" or whatever bullshit, moron language those who lack critical-thinking skills use to refer to theft. I hope this young man holds on to the bitter taste, the anger, of having his hard-earned labor stolen from him without a voice in the matter.
