When i first “got into bitcoin” i was so dumb (still am too) that i thought the shitcoinbase order books thing was The Blockchain™️ and that the whole point of bitcoin was to buy and sell it to make more dollars

Anyone else have a #tardstr childhood misconception about 🌽 you’d like to share pls?
I thought it was an actual coin that people used like ice picks in caves to get
 You did nottt
Yeah huh. and I was like, “but how do they get it onto the computer?”

I’m level 10 retard

Mind you this was like 2010 or some shit and all I heard was mining and I had a preconceived notion of what “mining” was 😂
Ok come to think of it, until i found @D++'s excellent presentation from i wanna say bit block boom a couple years ago, i didn’t understand shit about mining either. I thought that the bitcoins were floating around in the æther of the internet and mining somehow extracted them through math. Which actually doesn’t sound all that far off, but trust me it was
We’re all idiots on some part of the spectrum 😂🤝
Early on in my journey I spent many hours looking into putting tomatoes on the blockchain. 🙃
I thought the primary purpose of money was buying coffee by the cup
When I first saw Bitcoin I thought it can't have value because governments don't accept it for paying taxes

That's how NPC I was
Once I understood there isnt a single blockchain as well, all the other pieces fell into place.
I thought running a node and mining were the same thing at first 😅
Technically that used to be true i think
I was introduced into “cryptocurrencies”by a friend who taught me to look at bitcoin + shitcoins on exchanges like stocks to make fiat. That’s what I thought it was all about until my brother orange pilled me.
That’s amazing. You’re lucky to have such a bro!
 Definitely got lucky there haha
When I first started getting into Bitcoin, I thought coinbase was a great knowledge base, since they gave you “rewards” when you answered questions correctly about their “offerings” 🙄
💯 i member seeing someone on Xitter™️ saying this was their bread and butter scam, they get a fuckload of free shitcoins from the devs and then give some out and list it on their exchange, so those two parties come out on top while the vaporware factor and degenerate issuance policies of shitcoins drive them to zero for all the chump retail investors to get rekt

After that i still did the rewards but always converted straight to corn, until i deleted my account on that shithole
 Whoa now that’s a scam!

The fact that they would announce it openly is crazy
To clarify i meant a pleb said that in criticism of coinbase. But yeah they definitely announce new offerings
 Oh I get it.
But yeah scambase is terrible. Giving a little bit to all the newcomers so they can get hooked. Luckily I converted to corn. But still
First taste is free, oldest trick in the book

“Oh shit it’s down. Guess i should now start actually buying it”

“It’s still going down…better accumulate some more” 💀
Unknowingly becomes exit liquidity
For a couple of months I was into the tokenize everything frame of mind
The first wallet I've tried was bitcoin-core. When I saw it was heating up my CPU and filled my hdd. I immediatly removed it from my computer thinking its a virus. And did not check Bitcoin for years after that. What a dumb! 🫣
 Lol 🫂
the same with amethyst, my phone was burning
I thought all the OGs would dump their corn on the market at the ATH just to buy back during the bear.

I'm sure that this happens but I had no idea the risk that they were taking.

For a long while I thought Bitcoin was a greater fool scam.
From “greater fool” believor to realizing the greatest fool is he who sells
 Yup. Mistakes were made.

Everyone pays their Bitcoin tuition fees.
I thought there were physical coins for way too long
I didnt have $8,000 to buy a biticoin so I ended up waiting until it was $30,000 when I learned it was divisible into sats
😂😂😂 that reminds me of another. The friend who first told me about bitcoin’s existence didn’t say much, but i asked what a bitcoin is worth and he said $1. So i thought it was just always gonna be $1 as we now call a stablecoin, and i was like fuck that, sounds dumb
