Thinking of it, maybe I can pull it off Maybe a strawbalw or a cob house can be built with a bit of help from friends or the community with similar interests So maybe just maybe
I’ve had a little training in this building style and may be interested in helping build when you are ready! Depending on where you are and other factors 😅
Woah that’s amazing thanks. Would North America, Europe or India be ok with your schedule ? 😁 I didn’t know that anyone was interested in this type of building, let alone someone who has had some training 🙌🏻 Would love to know more about your training
Some years ago, I did a week long workshop here learning and practicing techniques for building with bales, roundwood, and cob, including finishing techniques like plastering and creating bottle windows. We learned to make foundations for earthen floors, strip bark from trees, make a simple roof, make and apply cob, shape and stack bales, mount shelves, windows, and electrical boxes, finish walls and earthen floors, apply plasters, and more. We also toured several natural homes that had been built in the area. This would have been one of the greatest weeks of my life even without the terrific food 😂 https://www.muddauberbuilding.com/
This sounds like something I should try. You guys did a lot in that one week, as there so many aspects to a building and this type of knowledge is better absorbed by hands on experience. Good food definitely adds to the overall experience, I’m glad you enjoyed the whole natural building process.
Sounds like a fun experience. Would love to one day :) Just looking at the image gallery was fun. Bookmarked. nostr:note1nh2rn6r9mgydxmsn02t8p5u9hkaq736ult0gms6p4prvehn28dpqna3mu6
As far as I can foresee, parts of North America would be doable, the rest is a stretch 😂 But maybe someday I could do somewhere farther away. When the time comes, let me know, and I’ll let you know if I’m able 😂
