I’m having a LOT of neck pain which is affecting everything from my productivity, my mood and, apparently, my eagerness to post stuff here.

My bullshitness remains unfazed.

 Getting myself a well made standing electric desk solved a lot of body aches and pains 
 Feel better. I’m not sure what caused your pain but Dr Teal's Pure Epsom salt for 20 mins is a lifesaver for me. 
 Ibuprofen, ice packs, rest..

 Find a good massage therapist and go regularly. Chiro might help too 
 Look in to breathing technics. I do this now 3 years every morning and gives me a lot of energy. Will maybe not solve now you neck pain but can help in future health issues. 🙏💜🫂

 Usually muscle spasm. A large dose of diazepam works really well, if you can't bribe anyone to give it to you then a LOT of magnesium also helps.

 Get a Kieba massage ball (basically a lacrosse ball) and you can roll your muscle knots against a wall. Better than a masseuse.

It cuts my neck crick recovery time in half.

 Hope you feel better soon! Neck pain can be horrible. Icy Hot patches and PT videos on YT got me through a bad flair last year. I’m super obsessive about posture and ergonomics now because I never want to experience that again.

2) Split / ergonomic keyboard (I bet you have broad shoulders)
3) Foam roll daily; optional: after some cardio/dynamic stretching

 where exactly is the neck pain, does it radiate anywhere? any movement or position make it better/worse? when did it start and was it gradual or sudden? Is there headache or vision problems?... the many comments from people here are probably valid, change of posture or ergonomic setup. If not already, increase physical fitness to include 180mins of good cardio per week. 

If you are spending much time in a chair with shoulders slumped while you type away at keyboard do less of that.
