Absolutely. I think the difference is exactly that. Choice. Once you realize that choosing to spend time on social media is important, things change. Rather than relying on it for the dopamine, to combat boredom, etc., if you CHOOSE to use it and the content is useful and leads to interesting relationships, social can be productive, enjoyable and not necessarily addictive…
Absolutely. So much of the so called social media is actually not social. People scroll endlessly without hardly interacting with anything they consume. This feeds addiction and many don’t know they are addicted, or know and ignore
