This is actually funny because, again dietitian, want's me to bump calories to like 2700, 330g being carbs. So I went from eating like 1 roll or bun per week, to eating a bunch of fancy bread daily to get those carbs up where we need them XD
Still usually some meat with the bread, but balancing macros means a little less red meat for now. Really just for variety over a week. Meats contain dense amounts of minerals along with diverse fats so have to have it, just a balance like everything!
I've got a bunch of homemade sourdough I've been eating off of for a week now. The carb macros are UP! 😆
Most of the people from our grandparents' generation, who got really old, spent their whole life eating carbs, like bread, pasta, and rice. But the quality and nutrient density was higher, and their eating habits were different. That's why spelt, rye, and emmer bread are popular, in Germany. Ancient grains.
