It's not surprising that still haunts you. I'm sorry you had that experience even though it's illuminating for the rest of us. I wish I could say I was remotely surprised at how quickly and crassly the media moved on from the assassination. 

 @f7af8fbd cheers, it was Karen Attia, Jamal's friend and colleague who witnessed this and written about it... i think we (the bbc and generally most of the journalistic community) have kept hammering away on the case for quite long for it to become politically 'awkward' too ... and keep coming back to it and reminding the audience feom time to time...
