@owl. @Chineseman (dick pics in 3 months) 🟥 You would be very surprised at how many women cry and insist that red and green mixed together is absolutely and always yellow.

Judging by how you’ve said that, there are some clear caveats, up to and including shade and saturation, yes?

@owl. @Chineseman (dick pics in 3 months) 🟥 Big caveat, especially with green.

In a real sense, if you plot two hues on this diagram, then mix the hues, it ends up on a line segment between the two points.

The green in the diagram above is closer to 500 nm, so mixing that and red is going to get you something more like white (the point marked D65). Upshot is that green is where the big bend is.

Most women I've dealt with learned their color wheels in elementary school and piled on lots of bad information about color theory, so unlearning it is often impossible. Gays do the same thing, but way worse.

A little complex, but I do understand the caveats and always sort of did, just not to such a technical degree. Good show.

@owl. @Chineseman (dick pics in 3 months) 🟥 The only real takeaway you should have from this is "there's other color wheels out there, and if I'm designing something based on colors then I should think more carefully about what color wheel I pick."

Color theory in a shitpost thread. That's a new one.

TBH all I really know is that mixing colored light on a screen is not the same thing as mixing pigments. If you "mix" red and green in the MSPaint color selection wheel you get yellow, if you mix actual red and green paint IRL, you get poop. I know that simpler apps like Gimp don't correctly mix colors or create gradients, but Photoshop has a toggle to change how it works. If you create materials for printing you're supposed to work in CMYK. That's basically it.
@Scarlet :02_dance: @Chineseman (dick pics in 3 months) 🟥 @owl. You'd be shocked at how bad women are at it though.

You're welcomed to leave me a loooong post if you ever feel like ranting about it and venting. You've honestly peaked my curiosity, and it's sometimes it's funny to learn new ways in which people can be stupid.
