Point me to a comprehensive tutorial that explains how an individual can run their own #nostr relay.
I haven't done it, but the Umbrel Linyx distro looks promising. It boots to a webpage, no desktop environment.

Here's their video on the Umbrel Nostr app.

I don't know of one, strfry was the most simple, I found. I also needed to a write filter for it though.

I wrote a small one in Go based on a library for the purpose:

I believe nostr:nprofile1qqsr9cvzwc652r4m83d86ykplrnm9dg5gwdvzzn8ameanlvut35wy3gpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwa5kuegpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqcu9929 has also written one, however can't find it now :(
I think you can just click a couple buttons and pay 12k sats a month with https://relay.tools. Haven’t tried it though.
relay.tools best way to the lazy web. it does work and its quite interesting based off of strfry
 Strange timing. 👀
 1. Get old laptop
2. Install Umbrel
3. Install Nostr Relay app
4. Add relay to Nostr Client
Here's how to add Umbrel Nostr Relay:

I have a node that I built with umbrel. I recently downloaded Nostr relay. Not sure what else to do. I’ll spend a bit more time looking at it.
 Other option (public relay)
1. Get VPS
2. Install LNBits
3. Install Relay Extension
4. Configure Relay Extension
5. Add relay to Nostr client
Couple clicks on start9 for personal relay
Can I use the private relay I just created on @umbrel to back up notes on several different nostr accounts?
Yes, may need to approve each npub
