 I was thinking I might just stick Nostr support on it. I bet it wouldn't even be hard.

 That would be amazing.  It would align git the protocol, and git the identity system to be based on content addressable hashes.  Then the whole system becomes decentralized, as it was intended.  Actually that's a big step forward.
