Our lil’est went to his first day of school today. His mama wondered if he’d have any difficulty, him being the baby and all. He marched straight in and a teacher said, “Hey Theo! Is this your first day of school?”
“Yeah, ‘cause I’m big now. She’s leaving.”
She, being his mother. Like, here’s your hat, what’s your hurry. Scram lady, you’re wrecking my mojo with the other squirts.
Then he said, “So, where do I go?”
This kid. A week ago he was watching cartoons in my office.

@30700d9a my kid went catatonic. Completely froze. I took my finger out of his hand, and he stood there like the statue of liberty without her torch. The teacher put her finger in his hand and asked him if he was ok. He didn't respond. His eyes were glazed over. She walked him to some toys where other kids were playing. He started playing as well. He never looked up. I chatted with the teacher for a bit and left.
