@c6d0060b The only thing that separates Mastodon usability from X is that it's more open and user oriented. You have to select a server, sure, but that's it. After that I haven't seen anything that would make it feel "weird".

And the people are nicer for sure.
@8ccc2d66 @c6d0060b That's the point! Once you have an account on an instance, there's nothing more to it! Just sit back and enjoy the ride. Well, you do need to follow a few hundred people, but that's part of the ride.
@03cbb24a @8ccc2d66 @c6d0060b I wonder specifically what feels “weird.” @c6d0060b, have people given you specifics?
@06b78ae8 "The different domains, different user interfaces, different apps and whatnot" is usually the culprit. I guess people are used to consistency. @03cbb24a @8ccc2d66
@c6d0060b @03cbb24a @8ccc2d66 Hmm, so they’re having choice paralysis? It’s hard for me to relate to because once one signs up and decides how to access, one then has a consistent experience. Perhaps they’re only dipping a toe in and not sticking with it long enough to actually see how it works.
