I have to go buy some more pecans. I love, love, love pecans, and i dont like the grocery store ones because they taste old and stale. I'm out of them, so need to make a trip to get some. Its one of those things that i cannot find a suitable replacement for. #grownostr #pecans #JonesingForPecans
I find hickory nuts are a good alternative here. Pecan can barely survive here.
Yeah, my husband says i should just eat other nuts, but it "just aint the same".
The peaches out of Fredericksburg this year and looking amazing ,, I see them every morning on my way to work now, beautifully hanging in the groves juts past luckenbach!
Oh, fresh peaches are so delicious! We visited a peach farm out that direction a few years ago, nice scenery.
I love pecans, but seem to have developed a sensitivity to them. I get achy and can't sleep. Hopefully I can heal my gut and at least eat them occasionally. I really miss eating pecans. I used to eat a handful almost every day.

Soaking raw pecans in salt water for a half day then dehydrating makes them much more digestible. That may help you. Check out ‘Nourishing Traditions’ book for specific instructions for sprouting different nuts and seeds
