Good morning, #nostriches!
I am starting off my day welding slimey steel. Again. 😮💨 🙄
Last night I crashed really early. I woke up knowing why: my nose is running like crazy. Normally I'd say I have a cold, but, other than the faucet-for-a-nose, I feel fine. Good, in fact, having slept very well and long. So... 🤷♂️
Yesterday, I consolidated utxos. Once again I'd like to thank @mrecheese 🧀 for his guidance in these matters. He's seriously one of the most helpful people I've come across.
I'm also excited for developments that @GitCitadel is... Developing. 😅 (OK, maybe my brain is a bit foggy this morning. 😝)
Anyways, I hope that all you lovely and strong and Plebs have a good hump day!

Good morning
Why is the steel slimy?
Stay sovereign
It comes from the machine shop. This company doesn't have a friggin clue about welding and why it's bad to leave parts covered in heavy, highly sulfured oil. I've literally been telling them about this issue for over a year.
it has to affect their bottomline b4 they care ime
It does. Hugely. They don't realize how much money they are wasting on every job that comes into the shop. I've told them. It's not my problem at this point.
machine shops need oil for cutting/friction
Hope you feel better soon.
Glad you got those sats sorted. 👍🏻
There’s something about these dry leaves and mowing fields that set my sinuses off as well. Hopefully nothing more sinister than that.
Thank you.
Who knows. I'm at the age for new, weird things to pop up. Maybe it is allergies. 😅
Morning! Hope the leaky faucet gets fixed 😂. Enjoy the day regardless.
Heya! It's already better. Thank you. ❤️
You're just doing things I happened to screw up already. But thanks. 😂
Yes, and you still don't have to give your attention to my situation as you have. I very much appreciate your experience and time.
Good morning!
What, may I ask, is slimy steel?
Heya! Steel covered in heavy cutting oil. It's disgusting.
So...what's the best cure for slimy steel? I understand things that I'd normally consider using (e.g., acetone) would be a bad idea when welding...
What's the best (and safest) way to get that off?
