My main concern is that years ago FluffyPony was taken into custody by law enforcement but I don't remember much hoopla about it . Is my memory bad and that didnt happen? If it did happen I rather wait another couple years before trusting Monero.
What does that have anything to do with the efficacy of XMR as a tool for freedom? He hasn’t been a maintainer of the Monero project in years. Would you stop using bitcoin if a bitcoin core dev was taken into custody for non-crypto related crimes? Because that’s what happened to fluffypony.
Who cares Fluffy didn't create Monero, wasn't the only person in the project, and the code is open source Luke eats cats, censors transactions based on his religion, and is paid by Blockstream. Do you still trust Bitcoin? Ok then
