How could feelings not be facts? They're just states of a human mind & body. Whether people use fitting words to describe the current state someone is in, is another matter. Feelings are facts, but they're maybe less well suited to ground arguments upon compared to other kinds of facts. I'd agree with your criticism of habitual victimhood though.
I just can't relate to this emotion thing. I hate emotional appeals. I have trouble talking to someone who can't think logically, but reacts emotionally to everything. We need to homeschool our kids so they are no longer taught that emotions are equal to or better than logic and facts.
