I've been getting zapvertisements... And I'm all for it! One of my peeves on Xitter were the degenerate ads for gambling and soft porn anime games. Here I get no ads but from those who zap me their ad. We're early and they're early... I might even check some out. After all, engagement is hard with no algo and no ad platform to push your service. Could be interesting to see where this zapvertising model goes. #zaps #marketing

I see it as an opportunity. And as a challenge to get both consumers and content creators (artists and entrepreneurs alike) on Nostr. At the moment, the barrier to entry still seems too high for many. Although it is far less technical than many people think. As is so often the case, knowledge and education are the key. For my part, I have now understood how hard the agro-algo of xitter triggers me and have completely lost the desire to move on x. #zapattack

Kinda yeah... They zap you and put their ad in the message. It's concise. The one I've received most is for a video service. Cool. Though Nostr is 4 years old it's still very very new and the silo of influence is strong so breaking in without ads or connections is tough. A 21sat zapvertisement is a cheap way to get your message seen and maybe build a platform on the protocol.

Ah so it's in the note of the lightning transaction. That wouldn't work very well on me since the only notification I get when someone zaps me is in Amethyst, which doesn't display the lightning note.

If I open my wallet I can see the notes but that's just it, I don't open my wallet. I just send zaps directly from Amethyst and on the notifications pane, I see when I've been zapped, by whom, related to which note, and the amount, but no lightning transaction message.
