Obviously not going to replace phones yet, but great to see people working on this, along with things like SimpleX, briar, and digital shortwave

One thing I haven't seen much of yet is open source local positioning systems, using one's own radio towers or a mesh of cell phones/radios

Another possibility is a good star map, paired with a clock and image recognition, it would give a decent global positioning on clear nights
