@b3d31edd Yeah, I am pretty sure that I could firmly meet 3 of the 4 tests. It's a (modestly) commercial work, but it's well published, easily found in full online at low res and it's published and in archives (I bought a 2000-era CD-ROM with it on it, too); I'd be using a small amount; there is zero potential market. If they'd asked $150…maybe even $250, I would have not blinked! 

 @bb1a99d2 yeah, I completely agree with you on this. I feel like it’s right to pay some, but not an exorbitant amount. And also what you are doing is important historical work in my opinion, and should be treated as such.
