Some say that women shouldn't be allowed outside on their own, because they can't navigate.

I disagree, but then, I did have to rescue one from a shopping center yesterday.

She wasn't interested in further shopping, her English is excellent, and she has Google Maps on her phone. But the app developers hadn't considered the needs of someone who gets lost as readily as @Laeserin attracts asshats.

(Specifically, she was on Level Three and needed to get to Level One, but according to her Google Maps isn't very helpful for that.)

(Some cynical men say that women feign helplessness as a way to flirt with men. I'm sure they do, but this one is my wife and I don't think that was the case yesterday. IDK how to fix that UX problem, other than by going inside and finding her.)

Building a better filter for Nostr seems like the easier challenge, so working on a SpaCy workflow right now...

oh, google maps is pretty weak at the best of times most of the places i've used it, but navigating multi level shopping centers, lol... yeah, nah... and half the time they have displays that don't work or there's nobody at the information desk, usually best to just ask shopkeepers IME

anyone who is saying this about gender is missing the underlying problem which has to do with the fact that most women are hypnotised more easily into following nonsensical ideas and thus the great majority of women with prominence in social media are just posting selfies and repeating some meme-set for their engagement farming, and are a total waste of time to follow anyway

even when they dabble in something actually interesting and technical it's pretty rare that they are doing more work than talking about doing work

sorry, not sorry, i'm here mainly to communicate mostly technical ideas and occasionally some fun things but it's a total distraction for me especially being due to the fact that i'm single and getting old and childless, i don't have time for flirty attention farmers
i mean, don't get me wrong, not saying they shouldn't be here!

whatever people want to do is their business but it does get a bit annoying sometimes watching it, i try to keep it out of my feed

the only female bitcoiner who i respect is Lyn Alden and she is a major big-brain and works her butt off writing really damn good analysis, and she isn't here to get attention but to sell her services as an analyst and author, at least that's how i see it

just don't want people to think i'm biased against the gender but it's just a thing that these days there is a really big problem in the way people relate to each other especially across the gender divide
 True that
